About

I hold a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from University of Chichester, a MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Oxford Brookes University and a PhD in Exercise Recovery from Strenuous Exercise using Polyphenols or 'antioxidants' from University of Chichester. Further, I am a Practitioner Registrant with the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and a CIMSPA registered Personal Training Practitioner. I have published several peer reviewed research papers in the area of sport and exercise science and nutrition and presented at international conferences.

Through my experience in both the laboratory and applied environments, I am able to use evidence based approaches with my recommendations to clients and ultimately aim to educate them to become self-sufficient. I will always work from a food first approach, believing that we can get everything that we need from food (most of the time).

I have experience working with grass-roots to elite athletes in figure skating, triathlon, ultra-endurance cycling, marathon running, equestrians, light-weight rowing and rugby. However, I have also supported many individuals who simply want to improve their health and well-being through correct nutrition and performance coaching.

I like to practice what I preach and am a keen runner, club tennis player and gym nut and can often be found hiking with my dog. I also love to experiment with new foods and recipes at home and share these with my clients.
